Hamner graduated from the University of Richmond with a degree in Analytical Chemistry in 1983. With a technical background and a family owned advertising business, he pivoted careers when desktop publishing arose in the early 90s. Over the course of the next 20 years, advertising became more scientific than artistic as platforms such as Facebook and Google began targeting individuals and their interests. His marketing firm, Lythos Studios located in Richmond, Virginia has produced advertising materials for the Martin Agency for their national clients such as Walmart, Mercedes Benz, AOL, NPR’s A Moment in Time and hundreds of local businesses in Richmond. *This data was provided to Lythos Studios by the former PIO of the city and verified with the city’s Commissioner of Revenue
